Volunteering

Why Volunteer?

When parents volunteer in their child’s school, it can:

  • Help foster trust and communication, and stronger relationships with their child’s teachers and other school personnel
  • Set a positive example for their child by showing them that they’re invested in their education
  • Model the values of teamwork and community engagement
  • Make students feel more valued and supported in the school environment knowing their parents are involved
  • Help parents understand school dynamics
  • Allow parents to gain some valuable insights into the strengths and challenges of the school, and ultimately, know how to better support and advocate for their own children in the school
  • Provide an opportunity to get to know other parents, foster relationships between families that lead to lifelong friendships!
