Shadow Day

Shadow Days are required of all students in grades 1-8. They are designed to allow interested students to experience a day at St Mary School and are an excellent way for students to learn more about what it’s like to be an SMS student! These visits also allow our teachers to assess a prospective student’s academic and social readiness for St. Mary School. Please contact our Enrollment Director, Geraldine Henn, at 203-744-2922 or email Admissions@stmarybethelct.org to set up a Shadow Day for your child.

What To Expect On Your Shadow Day:
Please arrive at St. Mary School at 7:30 am, so that your child will have time to get settled in and meet the other students before prayers begin at 7:40am.
We ask that you send your child with a snack, drink and lunch (you will be advised in advance if there are any restrictions due to allergies.) Please inform us of any allergies or health concerns on your end.

Student visitors are asked to follow the St. Mary School dress code:

  • Boys – a collared shirt, dress pants, dress shoes. No jeans. If it is a gym day, shorts/sweatpants, plain t-shirt and sneakers are acceptable. The student’s own school uniform is also appropriate.
  • Girls – blouse, dress, skirt or pants, dress shoes. No jeans or athletic shoes. If it is a gym day, shorts/sweatpants, plain t-shirt and sneakers are acceptable. The student’s own school uniform is also appropriate.

Please return at 1:45 pm to the front office to pick up your child.
