St. Mary's Home School Association (HSA) is the organization which helps our parents and teachers acquire a profound appreciation of the ideals of Catholic education. Its objectives include promoting a clearer understanding of the mutual educational responsibilities of
parents and teachers.
All school parents are eligible for membership with a payment of a $20.00 fee per family. General meetings are held four times a year, while board meetings are held three times per year.
Four parents as well as our principal and our Church's pastor constitute the board.
Fundraising
Our organization is responsible for several major fundraisers each year, including the Magazine Drive, Dream Auction, and Carnival.
The success of these fundraisers allows us to make improvements for the school and provides cultural and social events to the entire
student body.
Our Fundraisers Include:
- Catholic Schools Walkaton
- Carnival
- Magazine Drive
- Auction
Social Events
Throughout the school year, we hold social events for both the student population and our school families. Some favorites include Turkey
Bingo, Father-Daughter Dance, Pasta Dinners, and Field Day.
Some of our social Home School
Association Programs are:
- Holiday Gala Craft Fair
- Turkey Bingo
- Grandparents' Lunch
- Field Day
- Hospitality
- Hot Lunch
- Father/Daughter Dance
All parents are encouraged to become involved by volunteering
for both the fundraisers and social events. This gives parents an opportunity to get to know other parents, while being an integral part of the success of our school.
Other Responsibilities
The parents in our organization provide hot lunch on Mondays and serve as lunch parents in the classroom. Many of our annual National Catholic Schools Week events are supported by our parents.
